Where it all started
I never set out to be a B&B host, alpaca wrangler and bee whisperer. In fact, if you had told me years ago that I'd be managing a herd of rescued alpacas on an 18-acre farm in Tasmania, I would have laughed. But life has a way of leading you exactly where you're meant to be.
Riverdance Farm isn’t just a new chapter—it is a whole new book.
When I arrived in Tasmania, I was looking for space, connection, and a slower way of life. I found all of that here, nestled in the foothills of kunanyi, where the air is crisp, the river sings its endless song, and the land feels alive with possibility.
Then came the alpacas. It started with three, then another 20. Before I knew it, I had over 45 gentle, quirky souls in my care, each with their own story. Some arrived wary and uncertain, others curious and bold. Over time, they softened, and so did I.
Riverdance Farm is more than just a farmstay. It’s a place where people come to reconnect—with nature, with animals, and with themselves. Whether you’re waking up to misty mountain views, enjoying a picnic among the alpacas, or just breathing in the fresh Tasmanian air, you’re part of something special here.
So, welcome to Riverdance Farm. A place where nature leads, where animals find sanctuary, and where a city girl-turned-alpaca-farmer discovered that the best adventures are the ones you never planned.
